Fulfillment Policy

Scott Carr Web Design is the business name of Scott Carr, a web developer in Naples, Florida. This page explains how payments, delivery, cancellations and refunds work. If your written project agreement says something different, the agreement applies.

How projects are agreed

Every project starts with a written plan: what I’ll build, the price, the timeline and the payment terms. Nothing is billed until you approve it. Price ranges from the project planner on this site are estimates to help you plan, not quotes.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card or bank details go to Stripe; I never see or store them. All prices are in US dollars.

  • Project work is invoiced through Stripe on the schedule in your project agreement, for example a deposit to start and the balance at agreed milestones or launch.
  • Monthly services such as hosting, updates and care plans are billed monthly through Stripe as a subscription.

Delivery

Everything is delivered online. You see prototypes and progress on a live preview link as the work happens, and the finished site or platform is launched to your hosting, or to mine if you’re on a hosting plan. How the finished work and its code are handed over is set out in your project agreement.

Changes beyond the agreed plan are always quoted before any work starts.

Cancellations

  • Projects: you can stop a project at any time by email. You pay for the work completed up to that point, and anything you prepaid for work not yet done is refunded.
  • Monthly services: cancel any time by email. Service continues until the end of the current billing period, and there are no further charges. Partial months aren’t refunded.

Refunds

If something isn’t right, tell me and I’ll work to make it right first. Refunds for work not yet performed are covered above. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe.

Paused projects

If a project stalls for 30 days because I can’t get the information or approvals I need, I may pause it and invoice for work completed so far. Picking it back up is easy whenever you’re ready.
