Outgrowing off-the-shelf

My wife Kelly and I have run Naples Electric Bikes since 2020. We deliver rental e-bikes from Corkscrew Rd in Estero to Davis Blvd in Naples, with no storefront. For years we ran on Booqable.

The business eventually needed things a general-purpose rental SaaS isn’t built for: delivery-zone logic, multi-day minimums, group pricing, waivers tied to each rider, and an operations view built around how we actually work.

What I built

A custom platform on Next.js and Supabase, running on Cloudflare Workers, that covers the whole rental lifecycle.

Booking: pick dates once, and every bike shows live availability and the exact price for that rental period. Confirmation is instant.
Pricing rules: daily, multi-day and longer-term rates, a 3-day minimum for single-bike rentals, and an automatic group rate from the fourth bike. If a coupon is also in play, the bigger discount wins, never both.
Waivers: a waiver link for every rider, attached to the reservation.
Delivery operations: the service area is drawn on the map, and an internal ops app handles scheduling and the tooling we use every day.

Built for AI agents, too

More people are starting to plan trips through AI assistants, so the site speaks their language as well as ours.

MCP server: an AI agent can list bikes, check availability, get a quote, confirm an address is in the delivery zone, and create a booking that hands back a Stripe checkout link.
Public API: an OpenAPI spec, plus llms.txt so assistants can read the site cleanly.
Crawlers welcome: AI crawlers are explicitly allowed.

More than 1,200 rentals delivered.

No SaaS fees, and no feature requests waiting on someone else’s roadmap.
