How it works

Every step, in the open.
You, me and the AI.

Here's exactly who does what, from the first call to monthly care. Most redesigns launch in 3–6 weeks, and the pace usually depends on content and feedback, not the build.

  1. Step 01 · Day 1

    A short call

    You
Tell me about your business, your customers and what your site needs to do.
    Me
I look at your current site, how it ranks, and what's worth keeping. You get a clear yes or no on fit.
    Claude
Nothing yet. A person decides what to build.
  2. Step 02 · Week 1

    Gather what we have

    You
Send your logo, photos and any content you like. A shared folder is fine.
    Me
I list every page on your old site, note which ones rank or get traffic, and plan where each old URL will point.
    Claude
Claude helps organize your existing content into a clear page plan.
  3. Step 03 · Weeks 1–2

    The AI-assisted draft

    You
Nothing. This part is on me.
    Me
I direct the design, structure and tone, then review every page for accuracy, speed, accessibility and SEO.
    Claude
Claude writes the code for the design and pages, and drafts tightened versions of your copy for you to approve.
  4. Step 04 · Weeks 2–4

    Review on a live preview

    You
Click through the real site on your phone and computer. Send changes in plain words, in two or three rounds depending on your tier.
    Me
I make the changes, check them, and keep you posted.
    Claude
Claude speeds up the edits. I check every one before it goes in.
  5. Step 05 · Weeks 3–4

    Make it findable

    You
Answer a few questions about your business for the FAQ and business details.
    Me
SEO, structured data for Google and AI answers, redirects from your old URLs, and a speed check.
    Claude
Claude drafts FAQ answers from what you tell me. I edit them so they're accurate and sound like you.
  6. Step 06 · Weeks 3–6

    Launch

    You
Share access to your domain account, or I walk you through it on a call.
    Me
I launch your site on Netlify, connect your domain, test every form, and add Google Analytics and Search Console.
    Claude
Not needed. Launches are done by hand, carefully.
  7. Step 07 · Ongoing

    Care, every month

    You
Email me when you want something changed. Batching requests makes your hour go further.
    Me
Hosting, forms and up to 1 hour of changes a month for $99, with replies within one business day.
    Claude
Claude helps with changes so your hour goes further.

What AI does, and what I do

Claude

  • Writing the code for your design and pages
  • Drafting tightened copy and FAQ answers for you to approve
  • Speeding up changes and repetitive work

Me, Scott

  • Deciding what to build and how it should look and read
  • Reviewing every page for accuracy, accessibility and speed
  • SEO, structured data and redirects so you keep and grow your rankings
  • Domains, hosting, forms, email notifications and analytics
  • Hosting, upkeep and being the person you call

I've built and run websites for years, including sites I own and operate. AI makes me faster. It doesn't replace knowing what a good site needs.

Built to be found, in Google and AI answers

More people now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Google's AI answers instead of searching. Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) are about showing up there. They build on good SEO, and both are part of every redesign.

Search basics, done properly

Unique titles and descriptions, one clear heading per page, descriptive image text, and a sitemap submitted to Google.

Keep the rankings you have

Every old URL that gets traffic redirects to its new home, so links and rankings carry over. This is the step most DIY redesigns miss.

Ready for AI answers

Structured data that tells Google and AI assistants who you are, what you do and where; a plain-English FAQ they can quote; and an llms.txt file for AI crawlers.

Fast on phones

Lean pages and properly sized images, so the site loads quickly where most of your visitors are.

Ready when you are

Let's redesign your site.

Describe your site in the project planner and get a plan in about a minute, or email me and I'll reply within one business day.
